Dr. Liu Jiantao from Fujian Electronic Port Co., Ltd. has published a research paper titled “HydraTag: An Efficient and Flexible Method for Generating Multi-Label Fields” in the top-tier academic journal on computer vision and artificial intelligence, IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence (IEEE T-PAMI)—a Tier 1 TOP journal in the Chinese Academy of Sciences SCI ranking with an impact factor of 24.314—under the affiliation of Xiamen Port Group as one of the contributing institutions.

This journal is one of the most prestigious academic journals in the fields of artificial intelligence, pattern recognition, computer vision, and machine learning. It also currently boasts the highest impact factor among all journals in the computer science category and has consistently ranked first among all journals related to computer science and artificial intelligence. The paper was co-authored by Dr. Liu Jiantao, in collaboration with the Human-Machine Integration Technology Research Team from the School of Engineering at Peking University and the Intelligent Sensing and Control Team from the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation at Fuzhou University.

This paper addresses the problem of generating labeled fields—in other words, two-state oriented De Bruijn tori in combinatorial mathematics—by drawing on the concept of wavefunction collapse in the field of machine vision.

On the one hand, this research has greatly enhanced the efficiency of generating labeled fields, enabling ordinary personal computers to complete generation tasks that would normally require supercomputers to search for days—in just a few minutes.

On the other hand, the study also extends the implementation to generate marker fields with arbitrary shapes, identifier shapes, and preset states, while simultaneously supporting the overlapping effects of multiple identifiers with different shapes.

This study provides a powerful mathematical tool for the design of visual markers, which is of great significance for marker-based visual localization systems that demand high speed, high precision, multi-target capability, and strong resistance to occlusion. It plays a positive role in applications related to spatial positioning and navigation.

This achievement will in the future be applied to key subsystems in the fields of port automation and intelligence, such as large-car positioning, spreader anti-sway, grab anti-sway, FLS (Final Landing System) automatic container landing system, SDS (Spreader Detection System) spreader detection system, and TDS (Target Detection System) target detection system, playing a crucial role in further enhancing the measurement accuracy and reliability of port automation.

Stack yard operations “bowling”? With triple-layered oversight in place, it’s hard to even crash into it.

During operations, if a Spreader or the container it is lifting accidentally collides with containers already stacked in the Stack yard, it can trigger an incident commonly referred to as “bowling,” which, through a chain reaction, may result in damage to multiple containers and cargo, and even lead to casualties and operational disruptions—posing serious safety hazards.
