Dream Chasers Story | 30 moves per hour in efficiency! HIRI FUTURE helps Guangxi Port achieve a new leap in automation!

Release time:

2025-10-04

HIRI FUTURE Supports Several Ports in Guangxi Ultra-large-span RMG achieves full automation. After commissioning and going into operation, it didn't slow down its pace; in just three months of trial operation, it achieved the overturning of containers by RMG with an ultra-large span. Work efficiency reaches 30 moves/hour. Yang Zhengming, the project leader for this initiative, invites us to join him in sharing his story.

He said: If one path doesn't work, try another; if one approach isn't right, give the next one a shot. Solve problems with a flexible and adaptable mindset.

To overcome the challenges posed by ultra-large spans, improper equipment alignment, and uneven track surfaces, the HIRI FUTURE technical team kept pushing forward with persistent research. Just for the process of overturning the Beilai and path planning alone, they accumulated nearly 1,000 documents consisting of test data and video segment analyses. Yet, "Try again, try one more time" has always been the team's guiding principle, and in the end, they successfully conquered this "bottleneck" technology.

The HIRI FUTURE team is conducting renovations and debugging at the project site.

He said: A steadfast and unwavering belief will always shine like a ray of dawn, illuminating the path ahead and revealing beautiful vistas.

The old Changqiao bridge was not equipped with a mechanical anti-rolling device. Even if a mechanical anti-rolling device were retrofitted later, its effectiveness would be compromised due to issues such as inaccurate installation positions, difficulties in precise alignment, and mechanical interference. Within half a month, the HIRI mechanical design team and the electrical design team worked around the clock, designing and verify... A lightweight mechanical anti-rolling system with fully independent intellectual property rights. This lightweight mechanical anti-rolling system. An electronic anti-rolling system that can be integrated with HIRI AI algorithms Achieve highly reliable and durable operations suited for the era of automated and intelligent port operations. "HIRI AI Anti-Roll System" With the support of the integrated “electronic anti-sway + mechanical anti-sway” technology, even when traveling at full speed, the large and small carriages can achieve smooth and effortless movement, providing strong support for a significant boost in automation efficiency.

To complete the project and deliver it to the owner as soon as possible, the team worked overtime, sacrificing sleep and food.

He said: Automated transformation has never been easy to achieve, and improving operational efficiency is even more challenging. But precisely because it’s difficult, it becomes all the more meaningful and rewarding.

In March 2024, the HIRI FUTURE team moved into the terminal to begin the renovation. In just about 40 days, they completed the automation upgrade of multiple RMGs and entered the commissioning phase. After handing over the equipment and starting operations at the end of May, the team didn't slow down; instead, they continued striving for even higher and faster operational efficiency. In just three months of trial operation, the team achieved the overturning of containers by twin-beam cranes on ultra-large-span RMGs. The work efficiency reaches 30 moves per hour.

The story of Yang Zhengming and his team overcoming difficulties is a microcosm of the entire HIRI FUTURE team. On the path of supporting the intelligent transformation and upgrading of ports, HIRI FUTURE remains committed to R&D-driven innovation and continuously achieves success through technological breakthroughs. Over 3,000 sets of intelligent products have been deployed at more than 70 port terminals both domestically and internationally. To contribute wisdom and effort to the construction and development of smart ports.
