Xiamen Port hosts a “maritime black-tech” test—what surprises await?
Release time:
2025-09-28
In response to the "Opinions of the Ministry of Transport on Accelerating the Construction of Smart Ports and Smart Waterways," and to strongly promote the deep integration of marine surveying equipment with intelligent technologies, a "Maritime Black Tech" test centered on the verify of unmanned vessel-based intelligent marine surveying technology was recently conducted in the main channel of Xiamen Port. 4 #Anchorage Environmental-friendly terminals and Haicang Port Area 13 #Berth held successfully 。
This event is jointly organized by Xiamen Port Development & Construction Co., Ltd., Xiamen Port Channel Assurance Center, Fujian Electronic Port Co., Ltd. (HIRI FUTURE), Xiamen Port Lu Engineering Inspection Co., Ltd., and Huace Navigation. It aims to conduct on-site tests of the comprehensive performance of unmanned vessels in complex marine environments, promote the intelligent upgrading of marine surveying and mapping technologies, and lay a solid technological foundation for the construction of a smart channel at Xiamen Port.
Cutting-edge equipment boosts marine surveying work.
This test uses Hua Wei No. 6 Unmanned Boat The vessel is equipped with an adaptive navigation system and features multi-mode operational capabilities, and is also fitted with... HN-400 Multibeam bathymetry system NORBIT-Base.X Sound Speed Profiler It can separately achieve high-resolution seabed topographic mapping and real-time corrected sound velocity data acquisition, ensuring accurate bathymetric measurements.
Comprehensive Analysis of Marine Survey Results
The testing process focuses on Wind and wave resistance performance of unmanned vessels, communication endurance, obstacle avoidance efficiency, and bathymetric accuracy. It was verified.
In a sea state level 2 environment, the unmanned vessel's trajectory deviation is controlled within ≤0.5 meters, preliminarily meeting the stability requirements for nearshore operations. The 4G network communication distance can reach up to 4 kilometers, and the single-flight endurance exceeds 2 hours, enabling support for medium- and short-term missions; however, the data transmission mode still needs optimization to meet requirements beyond 2 kilometers. The static obstacle recognition rate reaches 100%, but dynamic obstacle avoidance requires combining human intervention to optimize the algorithm's response efficiency. The bathymetric measurement error is controlled within ±0.1 meters, conforming to international marine surveying standards.
Innovative technological highlights stand out.
Under a multi-source data collaboration mechanism The sound velocity profiler performs real-time correction for the effects of temperature, salinity, and stratification, significantly enhancing data reliability. Intelligent path planning feature It can autonomously navigate around obstacles in narrow waterways, effectively verifying the adaptability of unmanned vessels in complex scenarios.
Going forward, Xiamen Port Construction Group will continue to deepen the integration of unmanned vessel-based water-depth surveys and channel maintenance operations, providing robust intelligent technological support for the efficient implementation of channel maintenance work at Xiamen Port and injecting new momentum into the development of a smart port.
