List of Winners

This competition is guided by the National Data Administration, organized by the Fujian Provincial Data Administration, and hosted by the Xiamen Municipal Data Administration. It boasts broad industry coverage, strong practical applicability, and high technological innovation. The entries focus on the development and utilization of industry-specific data resources, leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and the Internet of Things to accelerate the exploration of data-driven applications, support digital transformation across industries, and demonstrate the immense potential of data elements in empowering industrial upgrades.

Project Background

As a core node of global logistics, ports have long been plagued by industry challenges such as low operational efficiency, insufficient intelligent scheduling, and high safety risks. In traditional operating models, data from various links—including loading and unloading, transportation, and storage—are isolated, creating "data silos" that make comprehensive optimization difficult. The operation of heavy machinery relies heavily on manual labor, and inadequate sensing capabilities hinder the implementation of unmanned operations. High labor costs and equipment wear and tear further exacerbate operational pressures. Faced with these challenges, HIRI FUTURE has independently developed and built an intelligent data system that covers the entire process—from perception to decision-making, optimization, and reasoning.

By leveraging four key technological pillars—multimodal data integration, a self-developed annotation toolchain, distributed data version management, and an intelligent algorithm matrix—the project achieves end-to-end data integration for ports, reduces annotation costs, enhances data security management, and provides intelligent operational support. As a result, it has successfully broken down data silos and is driving the transformation of port operations toward unmanned and intelligent operations.

Leveraging its outstanding technological prowess and innovative solutions, HIRI FUTURE’s products and systems have been successfully implemented at over 70 major hub ports worldwide, including key ports in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Brazil, Sri Lanka, and others. The total number of deployed equipment and systems has exceeded 2,500 sets, effectively enhancing port operational efficiency, safety levels, and overall operational performance.

This championship is a strong recognition of HIRI FUTURE's technological prowess and innovative capabilities in the smart port sector. Looking ahead, HIRI FUTURE will continue to iteratively develop large-scale models tailored to the port and shipping industry, and deepen its expertise in building smart port systems. Accelerate the implementation and application of China’s AI technologies and intelligent solutions along the Belt and Road Initiative routes and in BRICS countries. Actively explore new avenues for international cooperation.

Stack yard operations “bowling”? With triple-layered oversight in place, it’s hard to even crash into it.

During operations, if a Spreader or the container it is lifting accidentally collides with containers already stacked in the Stack yard, it can trigger an incident commonly referred to as “bowling,” which, through a chain reaction, may result in damage to multiple containers and cargo, and even lead to casualties and operational disruptions—posing serious safety hazards.
