Recently, a delegation of senior leaders—including Huang Jiansheng, Director of Information and Data at the PSA Group and President of Jinsheng Logic, and Chen Lianghui, Vice President of Development and Strategic Technology at the PSA Group’s Tuas Port—along with Zhao Lei, General Manager of Fujian Yisilu Internet Information Service Co., Ltd., a joint venture between PSA and Fujian Port Technology Group, paid a visit to “HIRI FUTURE,” a subsidiary of Fujian Port Technology Group. During the visit, both sides held an exchange meeting focusing on the research and development and practical application of port Intelligent technologies, as well as the expansion of scenarios for port Intelligent entities, jointly exploring new opportunities for cooperation in port and shipping intelligent technologies.
Before the meeting, a delegation of PSA Group leaders visited the HIRI FUTURE AI exhibition hall to gain firsthand insight into its innovative achievements and practical applications in the field of port-based Intelligent technologies.
At the symposium, Wei Qiuxin, General Manager of Fujian Port Science and Technology Group, extended a warm welcome to the PSA Group’s senior management delegation and provided a comprehensive overview of the group’s development.
Fujian Port Technology Group, as the core platform for Fujian Port Group’s digital, Intelligent, and green low-carbon transformation, has integrated seven enterprises across the fields of Intelligent technology, Information technology, and New energy. Leveraging years of IT expertise and deep integration with port industry scenarios, the Group focuses on six major business areas: port‑side informationization, digital control, port‑and‑shipping informationization, port Intelligentization, indigenous innovation and integrated security, and green electric ports, continuously achieving breakthroughs in key core technologies. Its AI‑centric brand, “HIRI FUTURE,” has established a full‑stack technical system encompassing “perception‑decision‑execution.”
Wei Qiuxin stated that, leveraging its self-developed port-specific large model, HIRI FUTURE has delved deeply into real-world Quay operating scenarios, establishing a well-structured and highly adaptable Intelligent product portfolio. Currently, the company has developed approximately 40 Intelligent agents spanning categories such as smart loading and unloading, visual perception, safety monitoring, intelligent scheduling, and precise positioning. Moreover, HIRI’s “Omni‑Domain Adaptive Perception Intelligent Agents” are not individual entities but rather a collaborative group of agents built around specific operational contexts, capable of adapting to the ever‑changing Quay environment, breaking down data silos among people, machines, sites, and cargo, and enabling coordinated operations across multiple devices and Procedures.
The company is deeply involved in intelligent construction projects related to PSA International’s port Quays, and at this stage, the equipment is operating stably with excellent results. This cooperation has not only verified the mutual technical trust between the two parties but also demonstrated HIRI FUTURE’s mature technical capacity in the intelligent upgrading of existing Quays and the smart transformation of port machinery. Through project implementation, both sides have achieved technical adaptation, accumulating valuable experience for deeper collaboration in areas such as the deployment of Intelligent systems going forward.
PSA Group’s Director of Information and Data, and President of Jinsheng Logic, Huang Jiansheng, expressed full recognition of Fujian Port Technology Group and “HIRI FUTURE” for their innovative achievements and practical experience in the field of port Intelligentization.
He pointed out that the global port industry is accelerating its transformation toward digitalization, intelligence, and green practices, with in-house technological R&D, real-world application scenarios, and Intelligent solutions emerging as core competitive advantages. PSA has been deeply engaged in building smart ports, leveraging its extensive experience in the construction and operation of the Tuas Port automated terminal in Singapore to develop mature, proven capabilities in intelligent operations, scheduling and control, and green port management. He emphasized that the advancement of intelligence hinges on industry-wide interoperability and collaborative progress, and that HIRI FUTURE’s achievements in developing port-based Intelligent entities, implementing them at actual Quay sites, and carrying out intelligent upgrades are highly aligned with PSA’s development philosophy. He expressed hope that this exchange will serve as a bridge for both parties to further deepen technical collaboration, jointly explore areas such as Intelligent entity applications and iterative technological optimization, and work together to elevate the global smart port sector to a new level of intelligence.

HIRI ICPS: Enabling Quay container trucks to park more accurately than seasoned drivers.
As the core carrier for container loading, unloading, and transshipment, the Quay’s docking positioning accuracy and efficiency directly affect the port’s overall operational rhythm, handling safety, and throughput capacity. Traditional guidance schemes primarily rely on manual command and ground/airborne markings, requiring no complex sensing equipment; however, they suffer from low precision and heavy reliance on operator experience. Drivers must repeatedly adjust their alignment, and the entire process requires dedicated supervisors, resulting in high labor costs and significant efficiency losses due to fatigue and varying levels of expertise, which in turn leads to excessively long single-container turnaround times. Subsequently emerging sensor‑assisted solutions—such as laser scanners—have improved alignment accuracy; yet, in the port’s complex outdoor environment, they are easily affected by fog, rain, and dust. When the laser lens becomes contaminated, detection accuracy drops markedly. Moreover, these devices are expensive, have limited lifespans, and incur high maintenance costs, making large‑scale deployment impractical.
China’s port “brain” goes global—when African Quays are equipped with the “Chinese brain”
In recent years, China has steadily accelerated its port‑building efforts in Africa. According to official statistics, China has participated in the investment, construction, or operation of approximately 78 ports across 32 African countries, spanning a vast region from West Africa to East Africa and from North Africa to Southern Africa. These ports have provided a crucial foothold for Chinese enterprises seeking to expand into the African market, jointly writing a new chapter in China‑Africa cooperation.
