Focusing on Intelligent Transformation, Jointly Exploring the Autonomous Future | The 12th Lecture of the Fujian Port Lecture Series Kicked Off with Great Success

On May 28, Fujian Port Group held the twelfth session of the “Fujian Port Lecture Series.” This session was themed “From Automation to Autonomy: Industrial Transformation, Application Innovation, and Security Governance in the Age of Intelligent Agents,” and featured a special lecture by Liu Jiantao, Chief Scientist of Fujian Port Technology Group. The event was chaired by Chen Zhiping, Secretary of the Group’s Party Committee and Chairman. Leaders of the Group, all employees at headquarters, members of the leadership teams of directly managed enterprises, department heads, representatives of model individuals, young employees, and frontline staff attended the session to jointly map out a new blueprint for the high-quality development of the port.
Dr. Liu Jiantao, drawing on years of in-depth research and practical experience in the field of port Intelligentization, delivered a compelling presentation that combined theoretical sophistication, practical depth, and broad industry relevance. He has long been dedicated to researching key technologies at the intersection of artificial intelligence and port Intelligentization, offering clear and insightful explanations of the core logic driving transformation in the port industry in the age of intelligent agents. His analysis systematically dissects the critical pathways for application innovation and the essential principles of safety governance, while accurately assessing the opportunities and challenges facing the port’s Intelligentization transition. With rich content and vivid case studies, his talk provided the Group with clear directional guidance and pragmatic actionable insights, leaving the audience deeply inspired and greatly benefited.
Chen Zhiping delivered a concluding speech and put forward three requirements for deepening the effectiveness of learning and advancing the port’s Intelligent transformation. First, attach great importance to it ideologically, Fully recognize the revolutionary role of science and technology in driving the Group’s productivity. Second, we will ensure that foundational training is carried out thoroughly. To address capacity gaps, all enterprises must genuinely prioritize the development of information technology and Intelligent systems. Third, keep pace with the times, Leveraging technological tools to continuously enhance management services, operational capabilities, and development effectiveness.
The Group will take this learning opportunity as a catalyst to accelerate the transition of ports from automation to autonomy, and make every effort to build smart ports at an even higher level, thereby contributing the port sector’s strength to speeding up the development of a transportation powerhouse, supporting Fujian’s high-quality economic and social development, and writing a new chapter of Chinese-style modernization in Fujian.
