From November 28 to 29, the 2025 “Green and Safe Ports Conference” was held in Nanjing. The conference brought together hundreds of representatives from transportation authorities, maritime administration agencies, port operators, research institutions, equipment manufacturers, and industry associations to jointly explore new approaches and models for the green transformation and safe development of ports driven by digital and intelligent technologies.

The theme of this conference is “Empowering with Digital Intelligence, Driving a Green Future, and Building Security Together.” Several industry leaders and specially invited guests conducted in-depth policy interpretations and cutting-edge technology discussions centered on the development of green and safe ports. The conference provided a detailed analysis of the current national policy orientations for promoting emission reductions and intelligent supervision in ports, and shared innovative practice cases in areas such as digital security prevention and control, and the application of clean energy. Fujian Electronic Port Co., Ltd. (whose brand is HIRI FUTURE) was also invited to attend this conference.

The construction of smart and green ports is an inevitable path for the future development and upgrading of ports, as well as an important exploration and practice undertaken by major domestic ports in developing advanced productive forces. Since its inception, HIRI FUTURE has integrated "digitalization, security, and green practices" throughout the entire process—from product R&D and system development to scenario implementation—dedicating itself to leveraging technology to enable ports to achieve efficiency, cleanliness, and intrinsic safety, thereby helping the industry move toward a new stage of sustainability and intelligence.

Targeting the unique scenarios of the port and terminal industry, the company has developed a comprehensive intelligent port security analysis system based on massive port security big data and leveraging advanced AI technologies and algorithms. This system is a visualized port security analysis platform that integrates a port AI foundation, intelligent surveillance technology, and big data analytics. It maps port resources onto a single interface, enabling the classification, identification, and labeled management of key elements such as people, vehicles, objects, buildings, machinery, and storage yards. As a result, it provides a holistic, unified view of the entire port area—a “single-map” approach—that makes safety management more convenient, precise, and efficient.

At the conference, members of the "HIRI FUTURE" team exchanged and shared with port operators, shipping companies, terminal operators, technology enterprises, and equipment manufacturers our comprehensive solutions for green and safe port development. They also provided a detailed introduction to the features and practical application results of the Machine-Intelligent Security Analysis System.

Two security system management platforms

HIRI FUTURE leverages artificial intelligence to build an intelligent security analysis system for port areas and a Machine-Intelligent Security Analysis System for individual equipment, empowering the upgrade from traditional “human-based defense” to “technology-based defense” and helping ports achieve higher quality, efficiency, and productivity in safe operations.

Hong Kong Port Intelligent Security Analysis System
Leveraging the port area monitoring system to enable AI-powered capabilities, this system achieves targeted trajectory tracking of people, vehicles, goods, machinery, buildings, and storage yards within the port area. It also provides violation capture, precise identification, statistical analysis, alert notifications, and proactive defense, offering users comprehensive, intelligent security management and alert presentation. The system supports boundary management, high-precision smart positioning applications for ports, intelligent violation analysis and alerting, and multi-modal biometric recognition.

Machine-Intelligent Security Analysis System
By leveraging AI analytics and multi-sensor data fusion, the system provides safety protection for individual equipment during operation. Employing a dual-redundancy mechanism combining vision and laser technologies, the system endows equipment with self-perception and intelligent decision-making capabilities, enabling it to proactively intervene in control when necessary and effectively prevent major accidents. The system displays equipment status in real time and supports integration with third-party inspection systems, thereby establishing a remote, automated, and multi-dimensional coordinated safety protection framework. This significantly reduces accident rates and ensures the inherent safety of equipment operation.

Typical Application Scenario Cases

Demonstration Scenario 1: Intelligent Anti-Collision System for Large Vehicles. The system can classify and detect various types of obstacles along the vehicle’s travel path, autonomously making decisions on whether to slow down or come to a complete stop. Utilizing intelligent algorithms, it defines virtual zones within the vehicle’s operating range, enabling anti-collision control strategies tailored to each direction of travel. This effectively prevents collision accidents caused by human error and significantly enhances port operational safety.

Advantage

HIRI FUTURE leverages AI-powered visual fusion and multi-modal laser sensing technology to equip large vehicles with the ability to "see and understand." Compared to traditional single-laser solutions, this system can plan centimeter-level precise electronic fences within a 15-meter range and accurately detect and identify various types of obstacles along the vehicle's travel path, effectively preventing false triggers.

Camera reuse saves costs: The camera installed on the large vehicle’s door pillar not only enables active collision avoidance for large vehicles but also supports functions such as vehicle correction and identification of approaching vehicles. One single camera can power multiple intelligent features, reducing retrofitting costs by more than 50%.

Demonstration Scenario 2: The cab-impact prevention system, which can accurately identify the location and offset angle of container trucks beneath the Spreader, assess the risk of hitting the cab during the lowering process, issue timely warnings, and proactively intervene to control the situation, thereby preventing cab-impact accidents.

Advantage

Reuse the existing laser and camera: By reusing the cameras and lasers on the top and sides of the Spreader, we can achieve head-end anti-crushing protection.

Supports anti-crushing protection for both empty Spreader and Spreader with containers: The anti-crushing protection for the cab is divided into two scenarios—anti-crushing protection for the cab when an empty Spreader is used, and anti-crushing protection for the cab when a Spreader with a container is used.

Looking ahead, HIRI FUTURE will continue to focus on the development goals of "digitalization, security, and green sustainability," seizing the opportunities presented by the industry's intelligent transformation. We will work hand-in-hand with partners from all sectors to continuously drive technological optimization and system upgrades. We aspire to play a leading and exemplary role in the construction of smart and green ports, leveraging the power of technology to accelerate China's ports' journey toward world-class status and jointly create a new future for ports that are safe, efficient, and green.
