Starting November 10, China will adjust its tariffs on U.S. goods.

Recently, the Tariff Commission of the State Council issued an announcement stating that, in order to implement the consensus reached during China-U.S. economic and trade consultations, and in accordance with the "Customs Law of the People's Republic of China," the "Law of the People's Republic of China on Customs," the "Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China," and other relevant laws and regulations as well as basic principles of international law, and with the approval of the State Council, the additional tariff measures stipulated in the "Announcement of the Tariff Commission of the State Council on Imposing Additional Tariffs on Certain Imported Goods Originating in the United States" (Tariff Commission Announcement No. 2 of 2025) will be discontinued effective from 13:01 on November 10, 2025.

On the same day, the Tariff Commission of the State Council issued the "Announcement on Adjusting the Additional Tariffs Imposed on Imported Goods Originating in the United States." To implement the consensus reached during China-U.S. economic and trade consultations, and in accordance with the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, including the "Customs Law of the People's Republic of China," the "Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China," and the basic principles of international law, and with the approval of the State Council, starting from 13:01 on November 10, 2025, the additional tariff measures stipulated in the "Announcement of the Tariff Commission of the State Council on Imposing Additional Tariffs on Imported Goods Originating in the United States" (Tariff Commission Announcement No. 4 of 2025) will be adjusted. Specifically, the 24% additional tariff rate imposed on U.S. goods will continue to be suspended for one year, while the 10% additional tariff rate on U.S. goods will remain in effect.

This announcement indicates that both China and the U.S. will continue to suspend the imposition of the additional 24% retaliatory tariffs, starting November 10, for a period of one year, while maintaining the 10% reciprocal tariff.
