Focusing on Innovation and Accelerating Breakthroughs | Chen Zhiping Leads a Research Visit to Fujian Port Technology Group

Release time:

2025-11-03

On October 31, Chen Zhiping, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Group, led a team to Fujian Port Technology Group to hold a special research meeting on project promotion.

At the meeting, the Technology Group presented reports covering aspects such as enterprise establishment, Party organization development, advancement of key projects, and business development strategies. Since its inception, the Technology Group has been steadily advancing asset handover, organizational structure establishment, and personnel deployment while integrating eight specialized enterprises within the Port Group’s system in the fields of technology and new energy. To date, asset integration and management rights transfer for several enterprises have been completed, and the construction of Party organizations is progressing smoothly; all seven Party branches will be fully established by the end of this year. In terms of project construction, key informationization initiatives—including the Port Group’s portal project, the OA “Xinchuang” transformation, and the smart logistics platform—are making steady progress, with some projects already entering the testing or approval stages. Meanwhile, the Technology Group is actively conducting internal R&D projects such as the development of intelligent algorithms for container terminals and the creation of a unified technology development platform. It is also proactively planning the construction of intelligent control and intelligent production systems for 2026, laying a solid foundation for building an independently innovative system within the port industry.

After listening to the briefing, Chen Zhiping expressed his appreciation for the phased achievements made by the Technology Group since its establishment in areas such as asset integration, organizational structure building, and project advancement, and put forward specific requirements for the next steps. He pointed out that, as a newly established state-owned enterprise, the Technology Group shoulders an important mission: driving the technological transformation of Fujian’s ports and helping to implement the strategy of building Fujian into a strong province in science and technology. While current work has gotten off to a good start and is progressing smoothly, there are still some shortcomings and gaps that need to be addressed. The Technology Group must earnestly study and implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, act with pragmatism and responsibility, embrace reform and innovation, and turn the spirit of the plenary session into a powerful driving force for overcoming development challenges and promoting the group’s progress, thus striving to write a new chapter in the Technology Group’s development. The group should further enhance its sense of urgency, pull together as one, accelerate the integration of assets among related enterprises, and establish and improve mechanisms for business synergy. It should focus on key projects, quickly build up combat effectiveness, seize opportunities, work backward from deadlines, assign responsibilities to specific individuals, and ensure the successful completion of annual targets. The group must also build a highly professional team that is “particularly capable of fighting,” using technological innovation to lead the transformation of port development concepts, speed up the construction of a new service ecosystem linked by data, and inject strong technological momentum into Fujian’s ports’ high-quality development.
