Spreader Anti-Sway System (SASS)

HIRI FUTURE’s independently developed SASS (Spreader Anti-Sway System), an electronic anti-sway system for Spreader, employs a dual-stage intelligent control architecture of “open-loop + closed-loop,” with a high-performance AI controller at its core, to achieve active suppression and precise control of Spreader sway, significantly enhancing the automation efficiency and positioning accuracy of RTG operations.

The system first employs an open-loop predictive control algorithm, integrating the motion states of the Trolley and the Spreader to proactively plan the Trolley’s speed and preemptively suppress potential sway. Subsequently, in the closed-loop phase, it leverages real-time attitude data obtained from the SDS (Spreader Attitude Detection) / IMU system to perform precise compensation, thereby achieving truly Intelligent electronic anti-sway functionality.

Under various operating conditions, such as full load and no load, when the Trolley decelerates from full speed to a complete stop at the target position, the system can achieve:
The Spreader’s maximum swing amplitude converges to within ±5 cm within 1–2 cycles.
Quickly approaching a state of rest, significantly improving the positioning accuracy and automation efficiency of RTG equipment.
It exhibits excellent compatibility with conventional mechanical anti-sway systems, enabling coordinated operation without mutual interference.
No VFD modification required; plug-and-play, easy deployment.
