Spreader Anti-Sway System (SASS)

HIRI FUTURE’s independently developed SASS (Spreader Anti-Sway System) electronic anti-sway system for Spreader adopts a two-stage intelligent control architecture of “open-loop + closed-loop”, with a high-performance AI controller at its core, to achieve active suppression and precise control of Spreader swing, thereby significantly improving the automation efficiency and positioning accuracy of RTG operations.

The system first employs an open-loop predictive control algorithm, which, combined with the motion states of the Trolley and Spreader, actively plans the Trolley’s operating speed to preemptively suppress potential sway. Subsequently, in the closed-loop phase, real-time attitude data acquired by the SDS (Spreader Attitude Detection) / IMU system is used for precise compensation, thereby achieving true Intelligent Electronic Anti-Sway.

Under various operating conditions such as full load and no load, when the Trolley runs at full speed to the target position and comes to a complete stop, the system can achieve:
The maximum swing amplitude of the Spreader converges to within ±5 cm within 1–2 cycles.
It quickly tends to be stationary, significantly improving the positioning accuracy of RTG equipment and automation operation efficiency.
It exhibits excellent compatibility with conventional mechanical anti-roll systems, enabling synergistic operation without mutual interference.
No VFD modification required—plug and play for simple deployment.
