Intelligent Anti-Sway System for RMG Spreader

It is a high-precision Intelligent Motion Control System designed and developed for Rail-mounted Gantry Cranes (RMGs) in railway container stack yards. By leveraging multi-sensor real-time perception of the Spreader’s dynamic posture and integrating adaptive control algorithms, the system actively suppresses Spreader sway and achieves precise positioning, ensuring that the Spreader’s swing amplitude remains stably within ±4 cm during each pendulum cycle. This effectively enhances the efficiency, safety, and Stability of container handling operations in railway stack yard environments.

Based on a self-developed Intelligent control algorithm, the system can automatically calculate optimal control commands according to the Spreader’s swing state, operating speed, and load conditions, thereby stabilizing the Spreader’s swing amplitude within ±40 mm during a single pendulum cycle.

In response to the common operational features of railway stack yards—such as frequent container repositioning and precise alignment during loading and unloading—the system supports rapid swing suppression and accurate positioning, effectively mitigating disturbances like Rail irregularities and gusty winds, thereby ensuring operational accuracy in scenarios such as train loading and unloading, and container stacking.
