Automated Container Release System for Inland Terminal Trucks

The automated container-unloading system for inland container trucks integrates multi-sensor and AI vision technologies. By using cameras at the four corners of the Spreader and laser sensors on the Trolley platform to detect the position of the container truck’s guide plate in real time, and combining this with deep neural network algorithms, it dynamically guides the Spreader to precisely complete the automated container-unloading operation.

This system is a critical component for enabling automation and coordinated operation between the Spreader and the RMG. After the RMG comes to a complete stop, it continuously monitors the relative position of the guide plate and the Spreader, ensuring safe container placement, and feeds this positional information back to the actuator to automatically adjust the Spreader’s container‑unloading position.

System Functions:

  • When placing containers on the Spreader, it performs real-time recognition of the container truck’s guide plate to obtain the position information of the container truck relative to the Spreader, thereby assisting in container placement.
  • When a pressure guide plate risk is detected, a fault is reported, and the PLC decelerates and stops the hoisting mechanism.
