Huangdao Railway Automation Upgrade
The Huangdao Station of the Jinan Railway Logistics Center is affiliated with the Jinan Railway Bureau of China State Railway Group. Located in Qingdao’s West Coast New Area and adjacent to the Qianwan Port Area of Qingdao Port, it is a first-class railway freight hub integrating cargo handling, multimodal shipping, and the departure of block trains. As a crucial railway collection-and-delivery hub for Qingdao Port, the station primarily handles the transportation of containers, ores, coal, and commercial vehicles. It also serves as an important departure station for the Qilu China-Europe and Central Asia freight trains. Thanks to its efficient port-rail multimodal operations capacity, the station has become a key logistics pivot for Shandong Province and the Yellow River basin in terms of opening up to the outside world, land-sea intermodal transport, and shifting freight from road to rail.
This project involves the automation upgrade of two RMGs, including upgrades for functions such as trolley collision avoidance, container truck lifting prevention, bowling ball protection, and intelligent access control.
